What We Do
Food Distribution
Ridglea Giving Garden grows local, nutrient-dense produce for the community. We use sustainable practices that take care of the land while being highly productive. Our produce is donated to Westaid Food Pantry and LVT Rise Community Center weekly.
Volunteering
We love having volunteers. If you have an interest in volunteering, please sign up on our volunteer page or contact us for more information.
Education
Ridglea Giving Garden is dedicated to fighting food insecurity by providing community school field trips and workshops.

The Ridglea Giving Garden (RGG) is located in West Fort Worth on a quarter
of an acre corner lot at 3251 Sappington Place, owned by Ridglea Christian
Church. The RGG began in its current framework in January 2024 and it
depends on grants, donations and volunteers to continue its mission.
The RIDGLEA GIVING GARDEN MISSION is to cultivate a community
gardening space to produce healthy food for our neighbors in need,
regenerate Earth’s resources, and provide gardening education.
Each week, volunteers help plant and harvest fruits and vegetables, pull
weeds, turn compost with a Master Composter, and take care of other tasks to
keep the garden going. High production and regenerative practices through
robust composting, drip irrigation, succession planting and organic practices
are vital to the RGG. All food harvested is processed and donated to our
neighbors in need at WestAid Food Pantry and the LVT Rise Community
Center. To be a part of this meaningful and dynamic garden, please volunteer
for a garden workday. To volunteer for a garden workday, CLICK HERE.
The Ridglea Giving Garden also offers field trips and garden workshops to
school groups, families, and adults, where participants learn how to grow
food in North Texas. School groups explore a garden as a living and complex
ecosystem, while workshops prioritize in-depth garden skills, including seed
starting, irrigation, composting, and cooking demonstrations.
